Lightweight Block

Duke Concrete Products, Inc. is a certified manufacturer of the “Smartwall Systems” High Performance Lightweight Masonry. 

Available in all standard sizes as well as in Architectural Split-Face veneer and structural block.

Lightweight block are made with high quality structural grade expanded shale, clay, or slate aggregate, manufactured to optimum gradation for compaction, strength, shrinkage control and uniformity of texture.  Lightweight CMU is gaining recognition for its structural stability, fire resistance and excellent energy performance over the traditional Normal Weight CMU’s. The 25% reduced weight benefit is apparent in Labor, handling and transportation costs, energy and  acoustic performance, as well as reduced dead and seismic load.  Meeting and exceeding all performance requirements of ASTM C-90, lightweight block is a mason friendly, cost effective wall system that will outperform other masonry and non-masonry wall systems.
